Jane Levy of ABC’s comedy series Suburgatory and TriStar’s reboot of Evil Dead, has signed on to XYZ Films and Bullet Pictures’ action thriller Bushwick. Levy plays 21-year old Lucy who emerges from a Brooklyn subway to find her neighborhood under attack. Lucy decides to cross the treacherous five blocks of Bushwick – littered with looters, local militias, the invading forces, and one crazy cousin – in order to get home and be reunited with her grandmother.

Bushwick will be directed by Cary Murnion and Jonathan Milott, who made their mark with the Sundance title Cooties starring Elijah Wood, Rainn Wilson, Alison Pill and Jack McBrayer. Lionsgate is opening Cooties this year. Nick Damici and Graham Reznik are the writers on Bushwick. Pic will be produced by Nate Bolotin of XYZ and Adam Folk of Bullet Pictures. Production begins in early summer in New York. WME Global is co-repping U.S. sales with XYZ.

Up next for Levy is Paramount’s Monster Trucks which opens on Christmas day. She is repped by Burstein Co, WME, and law firm Sloane, Offer, Weber and Dern. Murnion and Milott are represented by Verve and managed by PYE.

Paramount has rethought its plan to open the next Mission: Impossible sequel this coming Christmas, instead moving it up to the heart of summer. The Tom Cruise-Jeremy Renner actioner Mission: Impossible 5 from Christopher McQuarrie — who directed Cruise in 2012’s Jack Reacher — now will open July 31 against Warner Bros’ action remake Point Break, Focus’ sci-fi thriller Self/Less and the Weinstein Company’s boxing drama Southpaw.

Moving into M:I5‘s December 25 slot is the studio’s live-action/CGI hybrid Monster Trucks, which had been set for May 29. It will rev up against a pair of Fox pics: kids sequel Alvin And The Chipmunks 4 and drama Joy.

The Harold Clurman Lab Theater, the professional wing of the Stella Adler Studio of Acting New York City and the Art of Acting Studio Los Angeles, is proud to announce its cast for the upcoming production of Lee Blessing’s Great Falls; Jane Levy, alumnus of the studio, and former star of ‘Suburgatory’ on ABC will join Ovation-nominated actor Michael Keith Allen. Great Falls will be directed by Managing Artist Director of the Art of Acting Studio, Don K. Williams, and will open on January 22nd, 2015.

All shows will offer a “pay what you can” ticket structure in an effort to make theater-going accessible to patrons of all income levels.

Artistic Director Tom Oppenheim said, “The studio aims to bring art right down to the street and offer it indiscriminately, that is to say, affordably, to the world. The Harold Clurman Lab Theater – on both coasts – is proud to announce our season and offer a ticket model that will encourage audience members to not only come to the theater but participate in vital community conversations.”

The Lab Theater’s most recent work in Los Angeles include the Ovation-Recommended and Ovation-Nominated run of Lebensraum by Israel Horovitz, and Ovation-nominated run of Long Way Go Down by Zayd Dohrn. In New York, the Harold Clurman Lab Theater recently presented the Edinburgh Festival Fringe First Award winning one-man show Mercy Killers by Michael Milligan and the off-Broadway production of Israel Horovitz’s Lebensraum.

A man lost in his adult life drives across the West with his stepdaughter — a young girl at the beginning of hers. The broken ground is echoed by their broken past. He’s trying to fit together a new life using pieces of the old; she’s just trying to survive. Two characters, Bitch and Monkey Man (the only names the young girl will allow), roam through the northern Rockies on a long loop from home, with two very different agendas. In a series of increasingly desperate attempts to rescue something from the wreckage of divorce, they test how much they can trust each other — or whether they can ever trust each other again. Along the way darker and darker secrets emerge, and the questions they face ineluctably become those of life and death.
